MISSION STATEMENT
The
purpose of DRUM is to:
- promote
rudiments to increase the performance skills of percussionists
- allow drummers
an opportunity to measure their rudimental skills in an objective
format
- create a
fraternity and objective standard for rudimental drummers.
It is time
for rudiments to once again become the chief training tool for
all students of percussion to help them gain the skills required
for timing, precision, coordination, and endurance. This is the
mission of DRUM; to bring
back focus on rudiments as the basic foundation for all percussion.
