Rob Carson is a 3-Time National Snare Drum Champion (1972 All American, 1973 DCI, 1978 DCI). He is the
youngest person to ever win a world snare drum title, winning the 1972 All American held in Sarnia, Ontario at the young age of 14.
Rob is considered by many as the person to herald in the modern age of rudimental snare drum soloing with speed drumming and stick tricks.
The following Rob Carson video clips were recorded on VHS in 1988 at the East Illinois University Summer Percussion Camp.
The tape remained in possession of Art Cappio, where it was rediscovered and converted to DVD. This is truly a monumental find as very little
video footage exists today of Rob, and this is the only known footage that shows Rob break down a roll completely and play a full length solo.
