Many thanks to Jeff Klein for the following Scottish Snare Drum Scores and Rudiments. Jeff has studied with Alex Duthart, Allen Smith, Brad Spinney, Rodger Ryan, Harihar Rao, and Frank Epstein to name a few. In 1990 his article "Journey to Basel" was published in Percussive notes, an impressive 10 page article describing his visit to Fasnacht, the Winter Carnival held annually in Basel Switzerland, where some 3,000 drummers converge for festivities. The article is rich with historical information on the development of Swiss drumming, and is a must reading for rudimental advocates. Jeff currently lives in San Diego, Ca and he's working on a book, "American Drumming Essentials".
